John 5:19–20
“The Son can do nothing by himself; he does only what he sees his Father doing.”Fasting slows us down enough to notice where God is already moving. That’s the kind of partnership God wants us to have with Him. Not trying to convince Him to bless our plans, but joining Him in His.
Jesus modelled a life of ease. His miracles weren’t random. Every healing, every word, every moment of compassion flowed out of relationship with the Father. Everything flowed from that connection.
The same is true for us. As we fast, distractions fade and discernment grows. You start to sense those quiet nudges: call that person, give there, forgive here, step out in this way. That’s partnership.
Maybe He’s stirring your compassion for a coworker or highlighting a new door of influence in your business. When you respond, your faith becomes active.
Discern where the grace already is.
Faith that partners with God is faith that pays attention. It asks, “Where is His grace flowing? What’s He breathing on? Who is He calling me to encourage or forgive?” When you line up with what He’s already doing, you begin to move in rhythm with the Father.
What conversations keep resurfacing? What need is God putting on your heart? What small opportunities feel significant, even if no one else sees them yet? These are often clues that God is already at work.
Faith that is bold flows easiest when you’re not striving. You’re not trying to make something happen; you’re just flowing with God and His rhythm.
During this fast, ask Him: “Where are You already working in my world - and how can I join in, partnering with that instead of trying to control it?”
This kind of faith feels lighter. Instead of praying from pressure, you pray from partnership. That’s what Jesus modelled - He moved in rhythm with the Father, confident that Heaven would back Him every time.
Isaiah 65:24 - “I will answer them before they even call to me. While they are still talking about their needs, I will go ahead and answer their prayers!”
He is already moving!
PRAY BOLD
“Open my eyes to see what You’re doing around me. I don’t want to push my own plans; I want to walk in step with You. Show me where Your grace is already moving, and give me courage to partner with it.”
