Bold Faith

Mark 11:22–24
“Have faith in God,” Jesus answered… “Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”

As we enter week two of The Fast, this is where we start praying bold prayers. We need to push past the polite and safe prayers, and pray some prayers that believe God will show up.

The first week of The Fast was about returning, realigning our hearts, humbling ourselves, and restoring confidence in Christ. Now we step into bold faith: praying prayers that stretch us and asking for what only Heaven can do.

When Jesus spoke these words in Mark 11, He wasn’t saying that prayer was wishful thinking. He was teaching His disciples a way of living and a rhythm of trusting God’s character when everything else feels uncertain.

Maybe the thing you’re believing for feels too far gone - a family tension that hasn’t eased, a dream that feels out of reach, a door that hasn’t opened, a health diagnosis, or a loved one who’s drifted. During this fast, bring that impossibility before Him again.

As you fast, keep declaring who He is over what you see. Keep believing that His goodness is still unfolding.

Faith becomes bold when it isn’t just something you “know” and starts becoming personal. It’s what happens when you’ve walked through enough to know that God has never failed you, even when His timing confused you.

Jesus said faith could move mountains, but notice how He framed it: “Have faith in God.”

To live with bold faith this week, it won’t come from simply hyping yourself up, but it comes from seeing God clearly.

It's the kind of faith that says, “Even if I don’t see it yet, I trust that God is moving.” It’s active trust that shows up, prays again, and keeps believing when it would be easier to give up.

Every story of breakthrough begins with someone daring to believe beyond what makes sense. And they kept believing!

So, today, lift your eyes, and keep your language full of hope.

What area of your life do you need to start believing boldly again - the one you’ve quietly stopped praying for because it’s taken so long?

PRAY BOLD

"Lord, give me bold faith today. Where I’ve settled, stir me again. I bring the things that feel impossible to you, believing that You are able. Grow faith in me that doesn’t flinch, even when nothing has changed yet.”

EQUIPPERS EVERYWHERE:

Today we are praying for Slovakia!

(As part of this fast, we’re lifting up our Equippers family and churches around the world. Each day, take a few moments to pray for the country we list and our church/es there - praying for the pastors and people, and believing for God’s presence, power, and provision to move in that nation.)
