2 Corinthians 3:4–5 – “We are confident of all this because of our great trust in God through Christ. It is not that we think we are qualified to do anything on our own. Our qualification comes from God.”
As we reach the end of the first week of this fast, it’s worth remembering where our confidence really lies.
It’s not in how well we’ve fasted, how many meals we’ve skipped, or how strong our prayers have been.
Our confidence is in Christ. Alone.
Fasting isn’t about twisting God’s arm. We are tuning our hearts to His. It’s never about convincing Him to move, but about partnering with what He’s already doing.
Confidence in Christ means we rest in His finished work, even while we press into new things. It means we stop striving for His attention and start living from the assurance that we already have it.
When we pray boldly, we’re not declaring our power - we’re declaring His authority. It’s a quiet conviction that says,“God, You’ve got this, and I trust You.”
This is where fasting becomes freeing. You don’t have to prove anything. You don’t have to earn what grace has already given. You simply align yourself with the One who’s already working behind the scenes.
Right now He is preparing answers before you even ask!
So before we head into the next two weeks of bold prayers, take a moment to breathe. Let go of pressure. Let faith settle back into rest. Confidence in Christ is the anchor that keeps boldness from becoming performance.
PRAY BOLD
“Jesus, my confidence is in You alone. Thank You that I don’t have to strive to be seen or heard. You’re already moving, already working, already answering. Teach me to rest in Your strength as I keep believing for breakthrough. Let my boldness flow from peace, not pressure.”
EQUIPPERS EVERYWHERE:
Today we are praying for Ghana, Africa!
(As part of this fast, we’re lifting up our Equippers family and churches around the world. Each day, take a few moments to pray for the country we list and our church/es there - praying for the pastors and people, and believing for God’s presence, power, and provision to move in that nation.)
