Faith And Impossibility

Luke 1:37
“For no word from God will ever fail.”

Do you know that feeling of when you are standing in one of those rare, holy intersections between faith and impossibility - where if it happens, it’s only because God did it?

Today, let’s build our faith in believing for miracles in that space where there is a confrontation between faith and impossibility.

Maybe your impossibility is a prodigal child, a strained marriage, an overwhelming workload, a business decision that feels risky, provision you can’t manufacture, a habit you can’t break, or a part of yourself you’ve stopped believing can change. The fast reminds us that human limits are good and that they are the gateway to God’s power.

You might not be able to see yet how God could fix it - but that’s where faith thrives. Faith only matters when what’s in front of you looks impossible. Otherwise, it’s just logic. Think about Mary hearing that she would give birth to the Son of God. There was no category for it. No plan to copy. Just trust. She said, “Let it be to me according to Your word.” That’s faith.

Every great move of God starts with an impossible situation… seas that don’t part until someone steps in, jars that stay empty until they’re poured out, battles that aren’t won until someone dares to march. God uses the impossible to reveal His nature. And the cool thing about faith is that it is never predictable and it keeps you positioned for miracles. He could do anything!

Today it’s important we shift the question from “Can I?” to “Can He?” And He can. Every time.

In Deuteronomy 6:10–11 its says “When the Lord your God brings you into the land… with large, flourishing cities you did not build, houses filled with all kinds of good things you did not provide…”

“You did not provide.”

That phrase reminds us that the miracles we step into aren’t a result of our own strength, striving, or clever strategy. They're always, only, fruit of His faithfulness. God delights in bringing us into places we could never have built for ourselves, so that our story points back to His power, not our performance.

Take time today to name the things that feel too hard and outright impossible. Write them down. Then next to each one, write these words: “No word from God will ever fail.”

PRAY BOLD
“God, You see what looks impossible. I bring it before You again - not with doubt, but with expectation. Let Your word be fulfilled in my life. Remind me that what’s impossible for me is still easy for You.”

EQUIPPERS EVERYWHERE:
Today we are praying for the Netherlands!

(As part of this fast, we’re lifting up our Equippers family and churches around the world. Each day, take a few moments to pray for the country we list and our church/es there - praying for the pastors and people, and believing for God’s presence, power, and provision to move in that nation.)
